Baseline-
This strand would be a weak point for me. I have not done any education research since I was in my undergrad. I have done some research that relates to my field in education but nothing that has been formal. I am excited to do some research but also nervous about it.
Growth- (updated April 2012)
For this strand, I did my action research on co-teaching. I thought that this research was very valuable to me. I have always wondered how students felt about co-teaching and whether they felt it would benefit them. I enjoyed implementing this research project. Throughout my time in grad school I have tried different things within my classroom. Most of these items may not have been research based but I really enjoyed trying new things and I felt it allowed me to grow as a teacher. I also was able to develop new ways to collect data. These tools will be of great benefit to me as I move forward with my career. I look forward to researching and implementing new things within my classroom in order to help me continue to grow as an educator.
